cube butter

c. brown sugar

c. white sugar

Soak
oatmeal in boiling water while preparing the rest of ingredients. Cream butter with sugars until fluffy. Add beaten eggs, then flour and
seasonings. Add oatmeal. Bake 35 min. @ 350. Very moist.
Icing:

c. evaporated milk
¾
c. brown sugar

t. vanilla
½
cup chopped nuts
1 c.
coconut
Bring to
boil the butter, sugar, and milk. Remove
from heat, add vanilla, nuts, and coconut.
Pour on hot cake.
